Public Outcry in Rahmat Nagar – Citizens Submit Memorandum to Commissioner, Demand Immediate Action

Nanded, 5 August:

Amid worsening civic conditions in the Deglur Naka and Rahmat Nagar area, including increasing filth, deteriorating roads, clogged drains, and failed drainage systems, the Movement for Peace and Justice (MPJ) – Rahmat Nagar Unit submitted a written memorandum to the Nanded Municipal Commissioner today, demanding urgent action.

On behalf of the residents, the memorandum highlighted the grave issues of widespread unhygienic conditions, piles of garbage, extremely damaged roads, and blocked drains. These conditions have made daily life miserable for residents, with the confirmation of dengue cases creating an atmosphere of fear in the locality.

Under MPJ’s campaign “Our Problems, Our Initiative”, a large number of local youth participated actively. The delegation that submitted the memorandum included Sheikh Kamran, Sheikh Zakir, Mohammad Saeed, Sheikh Ibrahim (Ashu), along with MPJ Maharashtra State Vice President Altaf Husain, District President S M Sameem, and District Vice President Azhar Khan, among others.

The Municipal Administration informed that Zonal Officer Sansode Saheb is the concerned authority for the area, and the detailed information from the memorandum will be forwarded to him immediately for swift action.

MPJ warned that if immediate solutions to these serious issues are not implemented, citizens would be compelled to exercise their constitutional and democratic rights through protests.

The Municipal authorities have assured that all complaints will be addressed on priority.
